유해 물질 줄이고 내구성은 높이고
동화기업은 지난 11월 30일 사무 가구용 파티클 보드 신제품인 ‘블랙PB’를 선보였다. 파티클 보드는 목재 칩을 성형해 압축한 목질 판상 제품으로, 합판 등과 비교해 경제성이 우수하며 주로 가구 제작에 사용된다.
이번에 출시한 신제품의 가장 큰 특징은 유해 물질 방출이 적은 친환경 자재라는 점이다. 블랙PB의 포름알데히드 최대 방출량은 일반 사무 가구에 주로 쓰이는 E0 등급 보드의 평균값보다도 낮은 수치. 이에 유해 물질로 인한 실내 공기질 저하 및 새집증후군을 방지할 수 있다. 뛰어난 내구성 또한 블랙PB의 강점. 일반 사무 가구용 제품의 휨 강도 기준(13N/㎟)보다 우수한 수준(13.5N/㎟)을 확보해 제품 파손이나 변형을 방지할 수 있다.
동화기업 보드영업본부 박명균 상무는 “블랙PB는 일반적인 사무 가구용 제품과 비교해 유해 물질은 줄이고 견고함은 높이는 등 제품 경쟁력을 강화했다”며 “동화기업은 앞으로도 안전하고 쾌적한 공간 조성을 위한 보드 연구를 지속할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
Less harmful materials and stronger durability
On November 30 Dongwha Enterprise released its new particle board for office furniture, “Black PB.” Its biggest advantage is that it is made from eco-friendly materials that do not emit many toxins. Its maximum formaldehyde emissions are even lower than the average emission levels of EO boards used in regular office furniture. This means it does not cause indoor air pollution or new house syndrome. Another advantage of the Black PB is its outstanding durability. The product does not get damaged or deformed easily, as its flexural rigidity (13.5N/㎟) is even higher than that of regular office furniture boards (13N/㎟). Park MyungGyun of Dongwha Enterprise’s Board Sales Division says the Black PB has stronger competitiveness as it emits less harmful substances than regular boards and is more durable. He added Dongwha Enterprise will continue to develop safe boards for creating pleasant decors.
